Avtar Saini

It was year 1993 when the Saini family had decided to make their way to Canada for a better life. Avtar Saini was born in the small village of Basiala in Punjab. Life for Avtar started out with humble beginnings. As a young boy he was raised along with his seven siblings, on a small family farm. Dedication and determination dominated daily life for Avtar.

Avtar spent most of his childhood in poverty – trying to make his way out of the Village. Amongst his siblings, Avtar was always bright star. Avtar had obtained post secondary education and attended medical school. It’s when financial situations become difficult that Avtar had to take a different approach on life. Leaving his village with his brothers to a state named Ahmedabad, India. Avtar and his brother began to drive a rickshaw.

Compounding the success amongst the brothers over the years the family was able to open their first small restaurant. That was the light at the end of the tunnel, as the family business grew to 5 restaurants with hotels.

Unfortunately that was not the hardest overcoming for Avtar. Life was great in India as his own family grew. There was always something about setting the family abroad for a better living conditions and safety. Avtar made the move to Canada in 1993, leaving his business behind for his brothers to take care of.

Fast forwarding three decades, Avtar is no longer with us, but was able to utilize his passion for business and hospitality to have one of the most successful upcoming Indian restaurant chains in North America – Tasty Indian Bistro by TIB GROUP.

Leaving three children behind to lead the legacy (Inder, Parminder, and Ikbal Saini). The foundations and ethics earned from Avtar’s honest living will reflect on each project Avtar Properties develops.
